What I have found, is that I am happier editing in Hitfilm. I also prefer the integrated compositing in Hitfilm as opposed to switching back and forth between Premiere and After Effects. Although Premiere has features that I would like to see in Hitfilm, such as adjustment layers and proxies, I have found that Hitfilm has a lot of features that are not present in Premiere. I wanted to make a definitive decision on which one to use, so I have been working on the same project in both, recreating the same scenes.
I get a substantial discount on my Cloud subscription which makes it monetarily close to Hitfilm's price.
